  Date: Saturday, May 24, 2008 Place: Spokane Arena, Spokane, Washington, USA. Time: 7 PM Event: Carnival Ride Tour, Meet and Greet

  I woke up early on Saturday to get ready for one of the most exciting days of my life. I drove around 280 miles from Seattle to Spokane for a total of 4 hours which at the end were meaningless because I just had one single thing in mind: SEEING CARRIE UNDERWOOD IN PERSON! Actually, my drive was very pleasant as I happened to have the two most wonderful cds in the world, the multi-platinum records breaking SOME HEARTS and CARNIVAL RIDE.

  As soon as i arrived in Spokane, the very first thing i did was to visit the place where one of my dreams would come true. This was about 1 PM and at the "will call" window i asked if there was already an envelope for me, which to they said it won't be there till later, around 6 PM. I was not surprised at all, but you know, I was eager to know where it would be the specific place on earth where I was about to have a heavenly experience.

  I went and checked-in at my hotel not far from the Arena, just in case my car would break or the streets got closed for some reason. I can't take a chance on this. I left all my things there and went in the search for the most beautiful flowers i could find for the most beautiful flower recently discovered called: Carrie. This new flower was found in Checotah, Oklahoma. I found a cute little store in the mall and bought three red roses. I went back to the hotel and started to get ready, yes, again!!!! I took another shower to be as fresh as possible because I knew I’d be sweating like never before.

  I left the hotel at 6 PM and when I got to the Arena window they had an envelope for me!!!!! The letter said that I had to be at Concourse O at 7 PM. I immediately went there and there was some people already waiting.

  OK, drums please!!! We start getting in line and suddenly Carrie walked by to get in the room. I just saw this stunning blonde and thought to myself, is that Carrie? Then everybody started saying yes, that was Carrie!!! OMG, I’m getting nervous again just by the memory of this.

  I’m like second in line to get in that wonderful place but I could see Carrie standing there, surrounded by angels, with her angelical face and golden curls. She seemed so relaxed and down to earth that I couldn’t understand how this could be an angel!

  She was wearing flip flops, short pants and a V neck shirt. I didn’t expect this at all but then I understood that if she were in one of her gorgeous outfits then fans would probably feel threatened in a way, I don’t know, that’s what I thought. But I actually loved to see her dressed so simple, just plain pretty. However, she had make-up on just to accentuate her amazing eyes and perfect face.

  My turn! I get in the room, take out my big Costa Rican flag out of a big bag I had with me and showed it to CARRIE. The flag actually has a drawing with the name of the country, so I said: Do you know where I’m from? And she said: Well, I guess Costa Rica! And we both laughed, can you imagine? I laughed with Carrie. So I was a mess with my huge bag and flag and flowers, so I just put the big bag aside and took out a little gift bag I had for CARRIE. I gave her the flowers and the bag. She said: Oh Thank You for the flowers and then I told her everything in that bag was for her except for a little ball with the colors of the flag which was for little Ace and then she was like: Oh nice, I know little Ace will like to play with it. Then in my mind I thought, good move, she was moved because I thought of Ace, lol….. Then I handed her my perfect Carnival Ride Tour Book to be signed and she asked me: Who does this go to? (or something like that) And I said me, Eduardo. She obviously asked me how to spell it and then I told her while she started to sign it. She wrote:

  Eduardo, Much ♥ + thanks! (and her wonderful signature)

  This book is priceless now!!!!!!!!! And it’s mine, with my name on it!!!! Signed by CARRIE! OMG, somebody pinch me!! (as she said in AI when Simon told her that she would sell more records than anybody)

  Picture time!!!! We both put our arms around each other’s back and click! What I had waited for so long was there, in my camera, just waiting to get out and be shown to the world and brag about it for the rest of my life, no kidding!!! LOL…!

  It was almost time to leave when I remembered my niece wanted an autograph so bad that I asked Carrie if she could sign something else and she was so nice and said yes. You are supposed to take one autograph and one picture only, but Carrie accepted. After that, I said Thank You and she said Thank You as well. The person who left that room was not the same who came in, this guy MET CARRIE FLAWLESS UNDERWOOD!!! I SAW AN ANGEL!!!

  Once in my seat, I was desperate to call someone and tell about my experience when I realized that my cell phone was missing. I searched everywhere in my huge bag and couldn’t find it. Guess what? Yes, I left my cell phone in Carrie’s gift bag. What a loser! I instantly thought this was kind of cool because I didn’t plan on it but then I imagined Carrie opening her gifts and finding a crappy cell phone left there on purpose so that she would give me a call………..lol. I talked to a guard and this guy called someone to help me. I got it back at the end. Now that I think about it, wouldn’t it have been fun if I had called my cell phone and Carrie answered? She was still in the Meet and Greet sessions when I got it back. I should’ve done that, too late though………….lol.

  I went back to my seat and saw Carrie in concert for the second time. The difference was that this time, she was not that unreachable superstar on stage. I had already spent sometime with her, talked to her, she even knew that some guy from Costa Rica named Eduardo cares about her.

  Thanks my Angel for the inspiration to write this hoping that it might be useful for other fans who will have the opportunity to meet you some day!
